About: About Sarah Szwajkos
Sarah Szwajkos is a photographer, writer, book artist, letterpress printer, graphic designer and teacher.
A native of Philadelphia, Sarah studied in England, France and Italy.She graduated from Smith College with a double-major in Studio Art and Italian Her artist's book Memento was inspired by her time studying Italian poetry in Florence. Since 1999, she has made her home in midcoast Maine.
Sarah has studied and worked with master photographers including Sean Kernan, Joyce Tenneson, Bob Sacha, Brian Vanden Brink, Norman McGrath, Paul Caponigro, John Paul Caponigro, Amy Arbus, Jean Pagliuso, and painter Connie Hayes.
Sarah accepts commissions for her project Personal Space, and is available for commercial and editorial assignments worldwide. She is always looking for interesting spaces to photograph, and welcomes your inquiries.
